Aileen Hunt

Owner & Instructor

Teaches: Prenatal Aquafit, Stroller Fitness, Mom & Baby Fitness, Mom & Baby Barre, Postnatal Core, Infant Massage

With a bachelor’s degree in modern dance, Aileen has had a lifelong love for movement. She has never considered herself a sporty person and fondly remembers signing up for the third grade softball team just to get the cute hat. She's a non-typical fitness instructor who loves moving and being outdoors.

Aileen taught Aquafit classes for several years, including throughout her twin pregnancy. When she became a parent in 2008, she decided to become a certified Manitoba Fitness Council Group Fitness Leader and Pre & Postnatal Fitness Specialist and bring specialized pre/postnatal classes to Winnipeg in 2009. She benefitted from her own programs through her second pregnancy in 2012.  Her classes focus on the joy of movement and creating connections with each other and our families.

Aileen is also a self-proclaimed Winnipeg booster, who loves our community and is enthusiastic about making it a better place for us all.  Prior to teaching pre/postnatal fitness, she worked and volunteered for several art organizations.

Her love of fitness, community connection and the outdoors drives her desire to help Winnipeg families stay healthy and strong, all while having a good time!

Leah

Léah Perron

Instructor

Teaches:  Prenatal Yoga, Postnatal Yoga

Léah  has a degree in Family Social Sciences and has been employed in the Social Work field for the last 10 years. Yoga is another one of Leah’s passions. She is a 200 hour RYT and has taken a number of trainings both locally and overseas. Leah has been teaching many styles of yoga since 2017. Certified in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin yoga, kids yoga and trauma informed yoga; Léah found her passion for perinatal yoga when she was pregnant with her daughter in 2020. This led her to pursue an 85 hour Sacred Birth Pre/Postnatal Yoga certification to deepen her knowledge and ultimately support and guide other mamas throughout their pregnancies and into the postpartum period. Léah is passionate about empowering people to harness their strength, find ease through safe and dynamic movement/ play, understand and apply effective breathwork and mindfulness strategies, prioritize relaxation and reduce physical and mental pain and stress.  Léah is a strong believer in the philosophy of uplifting and supporting other women and is honored to be apart of their journeys into parenthood.

Léah first participated in Fit Together Prenatal Aquafit in 2020 and down the road joined postpartum Stoller Fitness with her second child in 2024. After experiencing some challenges in the early postpartum days, she found that being in a non-judgmental atmosphere, in an outdoor setting with like-minded moms helped her start to feel like herself again. Leah quickly knew she wanted to grow with this community and help women prioritize their health. She also hopes to create the same sense of connection with others that was offered to her.

Leah loves all varieties of movement, especially dance parties with her two young children and dog Luna.  She also enjoys camping, gardening, cooking, biking, swimming and adventuring around Manitoba.

Robin Bio photo

Robin Cohoe

Instructor

Teaches: Stroller Fitness, Adventure Club, Prenatal Fitness

Physical movement has always been a big component in Robin’s life. Always involved in athletics as a kid, this need to move took form in the shape of skiing, biking, hiking, and canoeing in adulthood. Working in healthcare and seeing the importance that lifestyle choices play into longevity and wellness she has prioritized fitness into her day-to-day life. This importance has been highlighted in the past three years as she welcomed her two children. Being physically fit as a parent of young children is such a valuable tool; not only does it help to calm the mental load, but having some energy left in the tank to tackle the chores, wrestle the toddler and still go on that family bike ride is a gift to yourself and family!

After attending a variety of parent-baby classes while on maternity leave with her first, Robin pursued her fitness training certification through Manitoba Fitness Council with the goal to instruct with Fit Together.  She was really drawn to the strong sense of community and support that the programs provide, and is really excited to be leading some of these classes to share that with others
